The Dreaming goals, and you’ll eventually become the person who makes those dreams a reality.

Writing down the dreams in your mind can make them real.
Garret They often read this note and felt excited, believing they would succeed. Even though it took years,
The author, while teaching in elementary school, wrote a note saying they would become a writer.

they always felt joy. Now, they are a popular author. People who don’t believe in their dreams might be
holding themselves back, living a life where dreams stay unfulfilled.

In Winning with BBQ Principles, Yoon Hong-geun, the founder of BBQ, shares a diary entry from
September 1, 2020 (published in 2009). He wrote about his future ten years ahead. Starting as a
salaryman, he dreamed of building his own company with a clear plan. Despite facing big failures,
he imagined his success so vividly that nothing could stop him. Today, BBQ is a well-known chicken
                brand.

Expressing the picture you’ve painted in your mind through photos can make it real.

A self-development research institute in the U.S. studied 16,000 people over several years. Among
them, 5% achieved their dreams of success, while 95% did not. The study showed that the successful
5% had clear life goals, while the 95% did not. To achieve your dreams, you need to clearly define them
and make sure your brain never forgets them. If you imprint your dreams in your mind like a photo,
                they will become reality.

Travel writer Han Bi-ya dreamed vividly of traveling the world as a child, with a world map on her wall.
Later, she became a famous travel writer who explored the globe.

Success stories using the R=VD formula

This is about Kim Bo-ram, a student who passed the foreign service exam.

As a child, she gained confidence by pushing her limits in running competitions with her parents’
support. During a language program in New Zealand, she realized her English skills needed
improvement and started studying hard. Inspired by her studies during the Japanese occupation, she
dreamed of becoming a diplomat. After entering Ewha Womans University to study political science,
she focused on preparing for the tough foreign service exam. Even after failing the first test, she
                worked harder and kept trying.

Kim Bo-ram learned about the VD technique from the book The Dreaming Attic. She used this
technique to help her pass the exam. She created fake newspaper articles about her success and
put them around her house. She wrote diary entries imagining her dreams had come true every
day. She even set up a fake text message about passing the exam that she received every
morning on her phone. She combined her face with a photo of Condoleezza Rice to picture
herself at a UN meeting. After making a vision board with pictures of Ban Ki-moon, the UN
headquarters, and airplanes, she finally passed the foreign service exam and achieved her
                dream.

Without passion and effort for your dreams, deciding if they will come true isn’t
respectful to the dream and shows a lack of true desire.
